Hotel Ruby Lissi completed
In March already, only a couple of meters from the Schwedenplatz in Vienna’s City Centre, Ruby Hotels opened their third Viennese house – the “Ruby Lissi” – inspired by Empress Sisi with 105 rooms in downtown Vienna. KAMPER was commissioned as General Contractor for the Interior fit out of this historic and famous building that is situated in one of the oldest districts or Vienna, on 19, Fleischmarkt.
Projekt Manager Helmut Ozlberger: “It was really a challenge to have so little space in such a frequented downtown area, with next to no manipulation or storage areas. It does indeed take a little bit of experience as general contractor to handle such a project successfully!”
Flying high … for our clients we go beyond the clouds
CEO Rafaela Kamper joined Richard Hartl of Ruby Hotels & Resorts GmbH for the adrenalin kick of a quite unusual kind. Following the slogan “There is nothing we wouldn’t do for our partners” they leaped out of the plane together, at 4.000m altitude. Given the more than limited manipulation and construction site space of the Ruby Lissi site on Fleischmarkt in Vienna, where KAMPER will be working on 107 rooms until March 2017, this jump conveyed the feeling of unlimited space or even emptiness.
“This sensation of free fall, unlimited freedom and the adrenalin kick were beyond the expected and absolutely amazing. But I felt the greatest sensation in these moments following the landing, when the tension eased and I moved on, flying on my own wings again.”
Sensational location, complex site logistics. No doubt that KAMPER is the perfect partner for the new Ruby Hotel in Vienna.
The Ruby hotel chose KAMPER as general contractor for the implementation of a new interior design on its famous location, deeply steeped in the history of one of Vienna’s eldest districts. From March 2017, on a total floor area of approximately 3.200 m², this prime location will provide 107 high standard hotel rooms, refurbished with attention paid even to the smallest details. As of its downtown address and the lack of storage and processing areas, the project team has to put even more effort into the coordination of works than usual, however “We at KAMPER are pleased to work in this well-visited urban business and cultural quarter and to get the opportunity to provide our established know-how as general contractor”, states Helmut Ozlberger, project manager.
